2020 Presidential Debate

President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee— Joe Biden plan to go head to head on Sept. 29th in the first 2020 presidential election debate. The debate will take place in Cleveland, Ohio and will start at 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time. It will be moderated by Chris Wallace, anchor of “Fox News Sunday”. According to ABC News, there will be no opening statements and no handshake because of COVID-19. “It will be a presidential debate unlike any in modern history”- Terry Morantinite of ABC News. Many media sources including Courier & Press says “This is the most important election of our lifetime”. “People in the US need to register to vote, watch the debates, and VOTE!” - Scotty Marx, registered voter since 2008. Topics that will likely be discussed during the debate tomorrow night will include; COVID-19, race and violence in cities around our nation, Trumps taxes, the supreme court—the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and the selection of Amy Coney Barrett, the economy impacted by COVID-19, the integrity of the election. According to debates.org Biden says he has been preparing for the debate for some time now says ABC News. He is concerned that President Trump will get personal. When told that President Trump has been prepping for debates, he quickly responded “So am I.” According to ABC News, President Trump says he has “been busy running the country.” President Trump has had 9 events in the last week alone. President Trump claims he has been prepping for the debate for weeks now. President Trump is pushing for rebuilding our economy and bouncing back from the horrible times Americans have suffered through the COVID-19 pandemic.
