Multi-Millionaire Jeffrey Epstein found dead on August 10, 2019 in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York, NY. Its been a year since Epstein's death, and details are still uncertain. Epstein was found to have killed himself inside of his jail cell using bed sheets around his neck. The guards weren’t watching, and the security tapes stopped working. It was the perfect set up for a suicide, others, including Epstein’s brother, believe it could have been a murder, according to CBS News. According to CBS News, upon closer examination, Epstein's brother, Mark, requested a second look by Dr. Michael Baden. "There were fractures of the left, the right thyroid cartilage and the left hyoid bone," Baden said. "I have never seen three fractures like this in a suicidal hanging … Going over a thousand jail hangings, suicides in the New York City state prisons over the past 40-50 years, no one had three fractures," Said Baden. Epstein was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He taught at the Dalton School, physics and math. He then later worked at Bear Stearns and soon after started his own finance firm and accumulated a lot of wealth and fast. Epstein made his way to the top and began living an unusual lifestyle. In the early 2000’s records of young girls, sometimes even under the age of 18, came to Epstein's house in Palm Beach, Florida for massages. The massages were the reason why Epstein was convicted of solicitation of prostitution. Epstein would pay the girls $200 cash for the massage, and $200 if they brought another friend. In 2008 in Florida, Prosecutors created a plea deal with Epstein, sentencing him to 18 months in prison for his sexual allegation charges. Epstein was free to leave the cell 6 days a week, up to 12 hours a day, and only ended up spending 13 months in prison. Epstein had multiple estates, including New Mexico, Paris, the Virgin Islands and New York. Accounts of sex trafficking and prostitution were made at each of the estates. Epstein has been said to “have friends in high places” including Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton, Donald Trump and many more. Epstein was later prosecuted in NYC and had several charges there including soliciting of prostitution and sex with minors. Months later Epstein was found dead by suicide, and some like Mark Epstein claim murder.
